The Manifesto: Defining Our Future in the Age of AI as Based on Human-Centric Content

a human overwhelmed by complexity

For the last two years, The Newsload has been deep in the trenches of the technological revolution. We have experimented aggressively with various forms of Artificial Intelligence, integrating it into our workflow, our video production, and our content releases. We pushed buttons, tested boundaries, and learned exactly what this technology can—and cannot—do.

From now on we'll be proud of our mistakes. That's how you know it's human.

After this period of intense experimentation and reflection, I have come to a decisive path forward. We have finally settled on a direction that prioritizes Human-Centric Content.

We are not anti-AI and we'll be using it to enhance our competitiveness and build efficiencies in our workflows. We believe AI is like fire: it can be used to build bombs, or it can be used to keep us warm. It is a powerful tool that demands ethical handling. As the digital world becomes saturated with synthetic media, there is a vital, growing space for content that is undeniably human. We are building the Newsload around that space.

From this moment forward, this is our pledge to you:

No video or photo released by The Newsload will be generated by Artificial Intelligence.

When you watch a video on our platform, the footage is generated by human beings. When you see a photograph, it captures a real moment in time, snapped by a person.

There will be specific exceptions, but they will be governed by strict transparency. If AI is used, it will be clearly marked. In the realm of comedic journalism, AI might be used as a satirical tool—part of the joke itself—but you will never have to guess. While we may utilize AI for abstract artwork or background textures, the core of our visual storytelling will remain authentic.

This philosophy is exemplified in our new initiative: The Sovereign Creators Guild. We are championing a future of human-verified content. We believe the audience deserves to know where their media comes from, and creators deserve a space where their humanity is the premium asset.

Thank you for your support during our experimental phase. We look forward to serving up great, human-made comedic journalism now and into the future.
